Hey, I'm Amelia
I work as a project manager. I am a parent. I am an expat living in London, United Kingdom.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't on our long-range plan. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much larger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complicated than expected.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that worked for us, met other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Created MendLumiSuro
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation guidance or surface tourism material. What was missing was a candid, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from everyday life in United Kingdom.
